Another point is, that the busy beach is the Playa de Levante, where mostly the british bars are and the Playa de Poniente is the one more relaxing ;-) Enjoy your day. I do however love holidaying in Spain and despite a heavy British presence I wouldn't rule out a Benidorm holiday, I would definately be tempted by the sandy beaches, a bit of nightlife and being able to socialise with a fellow Brit who is not going to try and steal all the sun lounging spots by placing down their towels the night before like the Germans always seem to do in the hotels I have stayed in lol I have always been sceptical of Benidorm from it’s portrayal in ITV’s show and the Spanish coastal town’s stereotype of drunk, tacky Britons.
